Arti Varanasi

Arti is excited to serve in the role of MCCPTA VP Admin for the 2025-2026 school year. Arti’s PTA journey began when her son was a 1st grader at Wilson Wims Elementary Clarksburg, MD. During her son’s time at Wims she served as PTA Vice President, President, and Treasurer. While at Wims, Arti along with the incredible PTA Executive Board and Volunteers, led the Wilson Wims PTA in achieving the MCCPTA Purposeful Programming in 2022 and the National PTA School of Excellence Award in 2022-2024 and 2023-2025. She looks forward to building on this foundation in her current role as a PTSA grade level liaison at Hallie Wells MS, one of three MCCPTA Clarksburg Cluster Coordinators, and VP Admin. As VP Admin, she looks forward to working with each local unit in building on their strengths to create a solid PTA/PTSA foundation that supports advocating for all children through collaborative engagement and strong partnership with families, school, and community. Arti is a long-time advocate for providing equitable opportunities for all and brings that passion to our community. She loves wearing many hats. Each “hat” fuels her passion to create engagement opportunities and build community. Her most treasured hats include past role as a co-coach with the Clarksburg 12U Nationals baseball team, cheering on the Arora Hills Barracudas as a parent rep during the summer months, advocating in her role as President & CEO of Advancing Synergy, or teaching her students at the Johns Hopkins University as Dr. Varanasi. Arti loves exploring new places and foods with her family. Arti looks forward to connecting with PTAs and families across our county and working together to create a fun, safe, and enriching learning environment for all.
